By accessing this website and purchasing commissioned artwork and/or prints, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. I reserve the right to decline any commission at my sole discretion. Throughout this document, the terms “I,” “me,” and “my” refer to Ruth Young Line Drawings.
1. Products (Prints & Cards)
Returns for non-commissioned products are accepted within 14 days provide items are unopened and in their original condition.
To initiate a return please contact me at ruth.younglinedrawings@gmail.com with your order number to arrange a return.
Once item is received and inspected, a refund will be issued to your original payment method, excluding the original shipping cost.
Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.
Photos may be requested to process a refund or exchange.
2. Commissioned Artwork
Due to the custom nature of commissioned artwork, full refunds are not available. Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced.
A quote will be provided after reviewing your photos to assess the scope of work.
Quotes are valid for 14 days and may be adjusted if the scope changes.
Commissioned artwork is supplied for personal use only, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Usage rights will be discussed and confirmed during the quoting stage.
A 50% deposit is required before work begins; the remaining balance is due prior to delivery.
All pricing is in New Zealand Dollars. Payment method: Bank deposit.
Standard turnaround time is approximately 4–6 weeks, plus shipping time.
Up to two draft revisions are included. Additional changes may incur extra charges.
Orders are dispatched via standard courier service. If you would like shipping insurance, please contact me for a quote.
Commissioned pieces may be displayed in my portfolio unless otherwise requested. Personal details will always be omitted.
If you’re unhappy with your order, please get in touch to discuss a resolution.
3. Copyright & Ownership
Copyright and intellectual property remain with Ruth Young unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Packaging & Shipping
Orders are packaged securely and delivery within New Zealand is usually 3–10 business days from the time of dispatch.
Tracking details are provided once item/s are dispatched.
International customers can request a shipping quote; duties and taxes are the customer’s responsibility.
If you provide a rural address, the correct rural shipping option must be selected. Orders will not be dispatched until the applicable charge has been paid or a non‑rural address is supplied.
Please note, we do not ship to Chatham Islands.
Please contact me immediately if your order arrives damaged.
5. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with the NZ Privacy Act 2020.
All payments are processed securely through Square. I do not store your full payment details.
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information (unless we are required to keep it).

6. Liability
Products and services are supplied to the best of my ability; however, I am not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage of any kind, including issues arising from use of this website, technical errors, interruptions, or reliance on its content.
Colour variations may occur between online images and physical products.
Liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant product or service.
Nothing in these Terms affects your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
7. Website Use
All content (including images, artwork, and text) is owned by Ruth Young.
Commercial use, copying, or reproduction without prior written permission is not allowed.
Misuse of, or interference with, the website is not permitted.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by New Zealand law. Disputes will be handled by the New Zealand courts.
9. Changes to Website and Terms
This website, its content, and these Terms may be updated or modified at any time.
Continued use of the site after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
